Curling After Party

The Curling After Party is another event inside the Calgary Dance Stampede  on Sunday night after the dancing wraps up and the event closes down. We take up the floors and take everyone curling!

The Neville Cup Curling Classic

Dr. Neville Headley, DDS, CD, B.Sc., has been our generous supporter of the Neville Cup Curling Classic for over 18 years. Dr. Headley is an accomplished dentist serving the Calgary area for over 25 years. He provides exceptional dental care at Christie Crossing Dental.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Headley’s life is infused with a love for sports and community engagement. His active lifestyle extends to curling, kayaking, hot yoga and golf. Currently, he is the Chair of the Promotion Committee for the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede. He is also a very accomplished Tango, Latin, Ballroom and Country dancer and it is through his passion for dance, curling and western hospitality that drew him to support the Calgary Dance Stampede in the creation of the “Neville Cup – Curling Classic” as a wrap up to the weekend’s dance festivities.

Since 2006 the Neville Cup Curling Classic has provided a way for competitive and social dancers to unwind and foster an attitude of fun and sportsmanship off the dance floor and on the ice.

TIME: 6:30PM – 10PM

LOCATION: Calgary Curling Club, 720, 3rd Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta

COST: $0

We arrange for transportation to and from the facilities, so all you need to do is sign up on site. Singles, doubles or organize your own group of 4. No experience required as we offer a complimentary beginner curling lesson prior to getting down on the ice to help keep people safe and to review good curling practices so that we all have fun.

We have added a new twist to our Neville Cup Curling Classic event. For those that are a little more competitive and also to add a bit more fun and excitement …

$2,000CAD CASH if you can draw to the button in 1 shot!  The BUTTON is the circle at the center of the house … the house is the rings or circles toward which play is directed consisting of a 12-foot ring, 8-foot ring, 4-foot ring and a button.

Every participant at the Neville Cup  Curling Classic is given one rock to throw. If you hit that perfect shot that every curler dreams of, we pay you $2,000 CAD, as well as donate $1,500 CAD to The Tooth Fairy Children’s Foundation in your name.
